Students are required to purchase a dining meal plan with meal swipes to use for an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal at the dining halls or to use for a designated meal in the retail locations. Meals plans arepriced per semester.

Please report your food allergy or celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity to Richelle Bernardo, Resident Director, rbernardo@avifoodsystems.com prior to arrival on campus. Should a you need further assistance regarding food allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact Lindsey Kirila, lkirila@avifoodsystems.com our AVI dietician.
The student can meet with the dietitian and / or Resident Director of their dining hall of choice to learn how to safely navigate the dining locations and discuss appropriate dining options. The student is responsible for communicating any questions or concerns to the proper AVI team members in the dining facilities. We always recommend personal interaction with our management staff to obtain the most accurate information at the time of meal service.

What are Pete’s Points & Flex Dollars?
Convenient, cashless ways to make purchases at various dining locations across campus. Flex Dollars can only be used in on campus dining locations. Pete’s Points can be used in on-campus dining locations and at off-campus restaurants/partners.
What is a Y Card?
The key to using your meal plan! Any meal plan purchased will beconnected to your YSU ID, and you will use this card when using Meal Swipes, Flex Dollars and Pete’s Points.
Do Residents Receive Meal Plans?
Yes! Housing fees for our on-campus residence halls (Kilcawley, Lyden, Wick and Cafaro Houses) include room and board in the total amount! Other near-campus residences do not include a meal plan.

Guest Services (cardoffice@ysu.edu) can answer questions about meal plans, and they can also help you change your plan selection during the first two weeks of the semester. You can also add or reload Pete’s Points for Flex Dollars to your plan at ycard.ysu.edu.
