Amanda is a true asset to AVI. When she first started with us, she was the CSA for just General Aluminum. Amanda graciously accepted the challenge of vending multiple account locations on a daily basis. Everyone she comes in contact with adores her and says what a great job she is doing keeping their markets stocked with products. When General Aluminum adjusts their schedule to work 7 days a week, Amanda offered to work 6 days a week to keep the Market C well stocked. When General Aluminum slowed down and is only working 5 days a week, we reached out to Amanda to see if she would be interested in helping in the warehouse on Saturday mornings packing food due to shortages of staff. If Tracy is unable to get to an account, she will reach out to our operations team to assist with coverage for the account. Kevin Laster - Resident Director at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD

I do not feel Kevin gets the recognition he deserves. He works well over 40 hours a week. Comes in before 7:00AM everyday and leaves after 6 everyday. Work weekends to make sure things go smoothly. He works catering events when the catering director cannot be there. He serves food on the line and comes up with great ideas along the way. He also has young children at home who he does not get to see very much due to work and he still doesn't complain. Some times, team members berate Kevin because they feel he is asking too much of them. I think he isn't asking enough of them. Along with all that he does, you will never hear him complain. He deserves to be recognized at a higher level.

Jason Licari - Sous Chef at McDaniel College Englar Hall in Westminster, MD

Jason has been with the company well over a year as our Sous Chef. He started at the pub where he was able to fix the problems we were having. Under his direction, the pub has been running smoothly. Andrew Garland - Corporate Trainer at the Headquarters Service Center, in Warren, OH

Andrew did an amazing job of putting together field training sessions. He volunteered for an immense amount of travel to provide a personal, in-person touch for the rollout of Drasi. He consistently found new ways throughout the rollout to make things smoother and better for the field and clients. He had a lot of client-facing contact as well as generated an amazing amount of good will for the project with every level of operator we have. This project comes with significant changes to the field. Andrew has been the most significant part of helping people embrace this very important change on behalf of AVI.

Tammy Foley - Accounts Payable Specialist at the Headquarters Service Center in Warren, OH

Without asking Tammy, she saw my petty cash had a few large receipts turned in and went ahead and did an off run so I would not run short on petty cash. Something like this really helps us in the field and I really appreciate her for what she did. I did tell her I was going to get "Tammy ROCKS" tattooed on my arm. I'm just hopeful that this gesture makes her not ask for a picture of that tattoo.

Sharon Wiest - General Manager at Mount St Joseph University - Seton Dining in Cincinnati, OH

Sharon recently received positive feedback from the President of the University, Dr. Williams, in regards to a recent event held on campus. Thomas Robinson - Retail Manager at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Pavillion in Philadelphia, PA

"I wanted to give a shout out to Thomas. He was working at the register today. I’ve seen him several times over the past weeks and have noticed that he is always so friendly and personable to everyone who comes through the line. He actually looks up and greets you and makes you feel acknowledged. With processes like self- scanning (which I have no problem with), it can be easy to lose touch with the fact that you are, in small ways, interacting with colleagues, patients, and families. A smile, or a simple hello and thank you, can really make a difference in someone’s day. In any case, while we can often be inundated with everything that goes wrong, I wanted to recognize someone who is doing something right! Please let Thomas know that people recognize him for his positive and friendly attitude and we’re thankful for it!"

Stephen Williams - Cook 2 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Pavillion in Philadelphia, PA

"Steve is an exemplary employee and a true perfectionist. He is always willing to help out and be the support person, whether in the dish room, filling in for others to take breaks, or general cleaning that no one else will do. He works his shift until the last minute and always with a smile. He is outstanding!"

DiShawna Solomon - Supervisor at Aultman Hospital - Main in Canton, OH

Today the Aultman hierarchy recognized, one of our own. A short time ago DiShawna saved a patient’s life. In the late afternoon hours, she noticed a person who seemed to be in physical distress. The area where they were located in the hospital was not active at this time of afternoon. DiShawna approached the patient, recognized the seriousness of the matter, and ran to get help. The first person she ran into was Tiffany, a hospital executive. Tiffany called code blue, at which point the medical team showed up. The patient was rushed to ER and stabilized. The patient remained overnight. The physician who took care of the patient called Tiffany the next day and told her that if DiShawna had not helped the patient when she did, the patient would not have made it.

Charles Lee - Patient Service Ambassador at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Pavillion in Philadelphia, PA

Charles been with the team for two months and had brought so much light and positivity to our account. The patients and nurses send us personalized emails and letters saluting Charles. He's our everyday hero and we appreciate him!

Our staff cannot say better things about him. He shows up every day with a smile on his face and an overwhelming positive attitude. He greets everyone with courtesy, respect, and goes above and beyond for our patients in isolation. He personally calls into the patient's room daily, to take the meal request while making sure the patient is taken care of and accommodated. We are extremely grateful to Charles and all of his hard work!"

Rolanda Harris - Cashier at Good Sheperd Penn Partners Rittenhouse in Philadelphia, PA

Rolanda, our barista, provides exceptional service each and every day; however, her service stood out this holiday season when she provided personalized holiday cards for her regular guests at the hospital. A nursing administrator e-mailed to recognize her amazing care and detail when it comes to customized service. She is an asset to our department and we would not want to have to work without her! Thank you Rolanda!
